Sightseeing

Taniti City

Experience the historic architecture of downtown Taniti City. Bus tours run every two hours during daylight hours, except on Sundays.

Sandy Beaches of Yellow Leaf Bay

Soak up the sun on the pristine public beaches of Yellow Leaf Bay. Boat tours depart from the docks at the bay three times a day, except on Sundays.

Nature & Wildlife

Taniti’s lush rainforests offer well-maintained trails to the public, available from 7 am to 7 pm. One of the most popular trails to hike leads to Taniti’s own active volcano. If mobility is an issue, visitors can still enjoy a dose of sightseeing by booking a Helicopter tour departing from Taniti International Airport, Monday through Friday.

Local Cuisine

Five restaurants featuring the local cuisine are located throughout the island.

Two of these restaurants are located in Taniti City, one in Merriton Landing, and the other two can be found in rural Taniti.

International Cuisine

Three American cuisine restaurants are located on the island. Two are found in Meriton Landing and the other in Taniti City.

There are two Pan-Asian style restaurants on the island. One in Merriton Landing and the other in Taniti City.

Grocery Stores

There are two supermarkets to cover all your needs. One in Taniti City and the other in Merriton Landing. Both are open 7 days a week, from 9 am to 9 pm.

Two smaller, local grocery stores serve the rural areas of the island. Both are open 7 days a week, from 9 am to 7 pm.

A 24/7 convenience store is also located in Merriton Landing.
